Frequently asked questions

• Who can register for the race?

  Anyone in Ethiopia who can complete an 8KM run or walk. There is no age cap beyond standard health-and-safety guidance. Registration is open to Ethiopian Airlines staff, government, private sector, NGOs, students, self-employed runners, and the general public.

• How much does registration cost?

  Registration is completely free. There is no payment step in this form.

• What's included when I register?

  A bib number, an official ET 80th Anniversary t-shirt in your selected size, refreshments at the finish, and access to the closing celebration.

• When and how do I collect my t-shirt?

  T-shirt collection takes place the day before the event, at a location announced closer to the date. Bring a valid ID and either the phone number you registered with or your bib number — volunteers will look you up and mark your t-shirt as collected.

• I registered — when will I get my bib number?

  Registrations are reviewed by our team. Once approved, return to this page and tap the ticket icon. Enter the phone number you registered with and you can download an updated PDF with your bib and QR code.

• Race-day logistics?

  Arrive at least 45 minutes before the start. Bring water, ID, and your printed or digital bib PDF. The exact start time and location will be confirmed on this page closer to the event.
